Raji Azar Jr. is a 34 year-old autistic man from Fairfax, Virginia. In adolescence, Raji was placed into a variety of exclusive and inclusive situations with his peers due to his disability. Yet, despite many of the stigmas that might have held him back, he has earned an associate degree in Applied Sciences, and certificates related to architectural computer-aided design. Now, Raji works for a non-profit organization that serves people with disabilities, serves as a personal care assistant to a client with physical and intellectual disabilities, and enjoys spending time cooking with his family and friends. In this episode, Raji shares his thoughts about open communication between clients and professionals from personal experience.
